Welgelegen Drop-off facility will be closed due to resurfacing

The City of Cape Town’s Urban Waste Directorate informs the public that the Welgelegen Drop-off facility will be closed for two months from 12 January to 14 March 2022 while it is being resurfaced. Read more below

‘The Urban Waste Directorate is closing the Welgelegen drop-Off facility for about two months. The directorate is spending R1,9 million on re-surfacing the site as part of our proactive maintenance schedule,’ said Alderman Grant Twigg, Member of Mayoral Committee for Urban Waste Management.
